How to Spot a Fake Samsung Galaxy Note-3
After Samsung's new Note-3 hit the markets in September, 2013, it din't take long for a Chinese company to start manufacturing a similar FAKE model of the phone. Many people bought the 'New Samsung Galaxy Note 3' on E-Bay which 'looks' like the Note - 3 but is purely a Fake one. This is a CLONED version of the Samsung Galaxy Note-3. Here are some of the ways in which you can Spot a FAKE Samsung Galaxy Note-3!
1. Stylus: The Samsung Galaxy note-3 comes with a Stylus which has a button that can be pressed. In the Fake version of the Note-3, check whether you find the correct Samsung logo on the stylus. Secondly, make sure that the button on the Stylus is working because the fake ones will not be having them.
Pull out the S-Pen. Some things you'll notice immediately on a fake:
The "button" is unpressable.
The tip/nib is thicker than the original.
Notice that all the Accessories provided might 'look' original but all are Fake |

2. Missing Accessories: Not every eBay vendor has a picture with the box opened, but if there is, look for the bag with the S-Pen nib replacements. If you can't see it, there's a chance the phone is counterfeit.
3. Look at the details in the Description: Google the model you're looking at on eBay and see how the specs listed stack up to the verified information. Main things to look out for are storage capacity, RAM and display resolution. Storage should be 32GB or 64GB. Resolution should NOT go below 1920x1080. Ram is a little more flexible throughout all the models so make sure you have the correct one. The reason I'm stating this is because if the seller is unaware that they're selling a counterfeit(and aren't tech-savvy), they'll list all the original information. If the seller is intentionally trying to sell you a counterfeit, they'll state the lower specs and you will not be able to claim you were unaware that the phone was not an original.
4. Run a Hardware test: Install an Application called 'Genuine Galaxy - Phone Info' from the Play Store and Open it. The application will automatically detect the fake mobile's RAM, Processor specifications. From the result, you will know whether the Note-3 is fake or not.
